THE MINNAMURRA BOATSHED RETREAT
Minnamurra is a small coastal village located at the entrance of the Minnamurra River and the Pacific Ocean, 5 minutes from Kiama on the NSW South Coast.
The Minnamurra River originates at Minnamurra Falls, winding its way through the picturesque Jamberoo Valley until it meets the ocean. The river entrance is bounded by a headland to the south and sandspit and state recreation forest to the north. Minnamurra boatshed retreat is located directly opposite this sandspit.
This coastal village is a combination of original fishermen's cottages and new dwellings. There is a small general store for your basic supplies, breakfast, simple lunches, coffee and home made cakes.
Located at the water's edge, the original 1940's boatshed is a key feature of the property and is perfect for a peaceful breakfast, leisurely lunch or to simply relax and unwind. Laze in a hammock, and watch as the pelicans land, the fish swim by and the tide turns.
The house accommodates up to 6 people (3 bedrooms) comfortably in a contemporary blend of country and coastal style. The house is fully self contained with a well appointed kitchen and 2 living areas leading to outdoor eating areas, garden and terraced lawns. This luxury waterfront retreat offers quality furnishings, linen and products.
The Minnamurra River and beach provide a fantastic playground for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, boating and kayaking. Surf skis, boogey boards and a small row boat are supplied for your enjoyment.
The minnamurra boatshed retreat is equally enticing as an escape during the cooler months. The house provides sunny rooms, comfy sofas, and an assortment of books, C.D's and DVD's to enjoy all with a view of the ever changing, coastal scenery.
The Minnamurra Headland walking track is one of the many options for exercising or simply exploring the local area. It passes spectacular coastal scenery; river, headland, ocean, cliffs. You can also walk into Kiama via various beaches along a designated walking track.
There is a selection of local golf courses to choose from. Kiama Golf Course is within walking distance, as are the local tennis courts.
Minnamurra boatshed retreat is a great base from which to explore some of the south coast's most beautiful beaches and rural scenery. Or you may wish to stay put and enjoy the waterfront, garden areas and tranquil environment.
